travel and leisure
today i leave for the city of brotherly love. on the agenda: general shenanigans, the mutter museum, some eats and a warehouse party with some sick djs. chromeo and flosstradamus are also playing, but i'm thinking i'll just go see them in buffalo next weekend. anyway, it should be a good time.

I once watched an Elton John concert on the LoGo network. One of the commercial breaks featured a tourism advertisement for Philadelphia. Its catch-phrase was "Philadelphia, the city of Brotherly Love. Get your history straight, and your nightlife gay."
I now think of that everytime anybody I know tells me they're going on a trip to Philadelphia.
philly actually has an area nicknamed the gayborhood. the street signs have rainbows. it's one of my favorite parts of the city!
