liz phair will always remind me of my girl emily, my neighbor and partner in crime from freshman year of college. she introduced me to a lot of music, liz phair being one of the many. we smoked many cigarettes and drank many beers together. some of my favorite college memories are with this girl, including a very memorable night in which we were deemed "satan and jesus."

OH MY GOD. I love Liz Phair, but this is the oldest video of her that I've ever seen. I miss the mid-90's Liz Phair. The Liz Phair of "Why Can't I" just isn't the same - so much less bad-ass.

Totally agree. The current Liz Phair is still better than most of what's on the radio, but its lacking relative to her stuff from ten or twelve years ago.
i'm not gonna lie... i don't actually listen to her current stuff. i heard a little bit and then mourned for the mid 90s.
