bribery and hole digging

Today I coaxed the workmen outside of my apartment building to move their trucks and the big diggy thing so I could get my car out of the parking lot. It was clearly a triumphant moment. Of course, the workmen asked to be bribed with alcohol... but still... I feel like I won this round.
