"BERLIN (Reuters) - Passengers on a German train mistook a Halloween reveller dressed up as a gore-covered zombie for a murder victim and called the police.

The 24-year-old man fell into a drunken slumber on his way home from a Halloween party in Hamburg, police in the northern town of Bad Segeberg said on Monday.

Believing his hands and face were smeared with blood, passengers alerted police after getting no response from him."

i am sick. it is a cross between a sinus infection and the plague. i stopped at rite aide today for provisions, and managed to forget tissues and tomato soup. i did, however, manage to obtain cold-eeze and vicks vaporub.

i have been brought up in a household that views vicks as a cure-all, catch-all remedy. i have uncomfortable childhood memories of my mother slathering me in vicks from head to toe. i think my yiayia may have been the root of the vicks obsession, as she always used to say "i love vicks so much... i could eat it" (to this day, this still creeps my brother and i out. because SERIOUSLY DON'T EAT IT.)

anyway, in honor of the matriarchs of my family, i have slathered myself in vicks.

i am exhausted times 10 from this weekend's festivities. i attended several halloween parties, and tore up pittsburgh, ninja style. i had a ninja mask, swords and even nunchucks (sp?)

this weekend i've learned that swords will make you popular. mostly with douchebags who want to battle. i was even challenged to a duel by a female pirate. it was awkward.

before i leave the burgh, i have promised myself that i will do some friday night karaoke. this will be interesting, considering i have a really bad singing voice and general public speaking related anxiety.
